the TRAILER

Do you feel the bad experiences you’ve had define who you are?

SYNOPSIS

“Jailhouse to Milhouse” is the inspiring, 8 time award-winning documentary about Pamela Hayden, the voice of Milhouse on “The Simpsons”. You wouldn’t know it by looking at her career now, but long before Pamela stepped into a recording studio, her life was out of control.

Most Hollywood celebrities are careful to only share personal details that enhance their glamorous appeal. Not Hayden. She gives an honest account of some of her lowest lows, including: drug addiction and juvenile jail. She also reveals that in times of deep depression, she didn’t think she’d make it to 21.

The film shows how she fought her way back, rebuilt her life and eventually found her voice in one of the screen’s most iconic characters. Like Milhouse, Pamela kept getting knocked down, and she, too, kept getting back up. After finally finding happiness, and success, Pamela serves as a mentor to young people who are struggling to overcome their hardships and pursue their dreams.

With never-before-seen archival footage, shocking interviews, and emotional revelations, Pamela’s  story is conveyed with surprising warmth and humor. “Jailhouse to Milhouse” offers hope to anyone looking for joy, connection and another chance.
